Cleaning the Sea Moss
Start with a hand full. This 8oz bag will yield up to 5lb of gel. Start small! Pull the quantity of Sea Moss from the bag. Place it in filtered water and rise in a bowl.
To Make Sea Moss Gel
Add your rinsed Sea Moss to a fresh clean bowl or filtered water and allow it to sit overnight at room temperature. Take the expended Sea Moss with water and measure it. Add water to equal amount of soaked Sea Moss and blend it on high. Blend until smooth. Pour into a glass mason jar and store it in the fridge. It will last 3-4 weeks.
How to use the Sea Moss Gel
You can eat the gel by itself, add it to your food, and it in your smoothie or to any drink. I personally like to take 1-2 teaspoons every morning. I also like to add it on top of fruits as I like to start my day with fruits. Get creative and get the whole family eating Sea Moss.
Apply a thin layer of room temperature Sea Moss gel to your face for 5-10 minutes and rinse off with your skinfood routine. Apply a handful of Sea Moss gel to your hair, root to tip, for 10-20 minutes before rising with natural Shampoo and Conditioner.
Storing the Sea Moss Gel
Store the Sea Moss Gel in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 weeks. The dry Sea Moss in a sealed bag can last for up to 1 year.
